Starting in 2005, Hancock County population demonstrated a steady increase in the percentage of population attaining a high school diploma or college degree. This trend coincides with the increase in the population of high school and college graduates in Ohio as well as nationally.
Similarly, the percentage of residents who have not graduated from high school is decreasing: -2% from 2005 to 2007. Thus, in 2007, 9.2% of Hancock County residents over 25 were not high school graduates. Among them, 1.4% completed less than nine grades and 7.8% only completed 9-11 grades.
The portion of residents with Bachelor, Associate, Professional, or Postgraduate degrees also slightly decreased from 24.2% in 2005 to 22.3% in 2007.
